Panchayat Level Tree Committee
🌳 Panchayat Level Tree Committee
The Panchayat Level Tree Committee has been constituted to protect trees standing along public roads and in public places and to prevent accidents that may occur due to uprooted trees, broken branches, or fallen trees.
The committee was formed in accordance with Circular No. 248/RC3/2016/LSGD dated 14.07.2017 issued by the Local Self Government Department. Since obtaining approval from the District Level Tree Committee for tree removal often causes delays, the Panchayat Level Tree Committee functions to ensure timely decisions and prompt action in emergency situations at the local level.
